Some of these films really push their levels quite a lot and it shows you what is possible.

bit depth is an interesting part of the color grading process as this will change how some footage will be graded.

White balance is tricky but really needs to be set correctly in order to get accurate colors to play with in post production. Using an 18% grey card or a white paper will do the trick

LUTs can be an important part of color grading specially when it comes to high volume work and speeding up workflow.
They can also ruin your footage when your are stuck using bad LUTs

Power windows are crucial to eliminate unwanted hues coming from specific sections of the scene.
Alternatively you can isolate skin tones and help saturate, desaturate or even change the tone.
Power window can also be tracked within the scene specially if there is a lot of movement and you need to keep it locked into a subject

Qualifying certain sections of teh scene could be pretty important to give a certain feel to the footage. This lesson we change the color of the sky and the talent’s bikini color.

Do I need to use only Premiere Pro for this course.
ANSWER:
yes. This course is optimised for premiere pro users but basic fundamentals can be used in Final Cut and other programs similar.

Can I grade my footage with this process using a camera other than Sony?
ANSWER:
Yes. Log files are very similar across the board. Camera manufacturers will have slightly different log curves but the basics will stay relatively the same.
RAW footage must be treated slightly different
